Fated to Love You (Korean Version)

I started watching this Korean Series few days after the board exam.. Since I am a free lady now (haha). I've watched the Taiwanese Version of this series when I was in high school, of which I believe is the original one. Since I have a lot of time, it's no surprise for me to finish this 20-episode series in one week. Well, I kinda feel like a bum tho. 😂 Don't get me wrong, I'm really thankful to have a ton of movies and series here with me now. I know that when I start to work again, it would not be possible for me to watch a series again. And I'm just enjoying this phase in my life where God is giving me the time to rest and relax. 😁

Anyway, I just really like to share that this series is so awesome just like the Taiwanese Version. You'll surely laugh, cry, and fall in love. 🤗

2016 Movies

Deadpool

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Really funny. It's really a different kind of super hero.

The Choice

“The Choice” tells the story of Travis Parker (Walker) and Gabby Holland (Palmer), who meet first as neighbors in a small coastal town and end up pursuing a relationship that neither could have foreseen. Spanning a decade and tracing the evolution of a love affair that is ultimately tested by life’s most defining events, this story features a memorable ensemble of friends and family in Sparks’s beloved North Carolina setting, culminating in the question that every couple must ask themselves: how far would you go to keep the hope of love alive?

Novel written by Nicholas Sparks, one of my favorite writer. Good as always.

Gods of Egypt

Magic, monsters, gods and madness reign throughout the palaces and pyramids of the Nile River Valley in this action-adventure inspired by the classic mythology of Egypt. With the survival of mankind hanging in the balance, an unexpected hero takes a thrilling journey to save the world and rescue his true love. Set (Gerard Butler), the merciless god of darkness, has usurped Egypt’s throne, plunging the once peaceful and prosperous empire into chaos and conflict. With only a handful of heroic rebels opposing Set’s savage rule, Bek (Brenton Thwaites), a bold and defiant mortal, enlists the aid of powerful god Horus (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) in an unlikely alliance against the evil overlord. As their breathtaking battle against Set and his henchmen take them into the afterlife and across the heavens, both god and mortal must pass tests of courage and sacrifice if they hope to prevail in the spectacular final confrontation.

So-so? Some of my friends who watched it along with me doesn't like it, tho.

How to be single

New York City is full of lonely hearts seeking the right match, and what Alice, Robin, Lucy, Meg, Tom and David all have in common is the need to learn how to be single in a world filled with ever-evolving definitions of love.

So so so Fun-nnneh!!! I was quite convinced to spend more time with myself more.

Always Be My Maybe

 The movie was good. Funny.

Batman vs. Superman : Dawn of Justice

Fearing the actions of a god-like superhero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman vs Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

I am not really a fan but I like the fight scene tho.

The Divergent Series: Allegiant

After the earth-shattering revelations of Insurgent, in Allegiant Part 1 Tris (Shailene Woodley) must escape with Four (Theo James) beyond the Wall that encircles Chicago to finally discover the shocking truth of what lies behind it.

Even though I haven't seen the movie prior to this series, I enjoyed the movie.

The Huntsman: Winter's War

The fantastical world of Snow White and the Huntsman expands to reveal how the fates of The Huntsman Eric and Queen Ravenna are deeply and dangerously intertwined.

It was nice.

Captain America: Civil War

I enjoyed watching the movie. In fact, I like it better compared to Batman Vs. Superman.

Just the three of Us

It was already midnight when we decided to watch the movie. So we went to RW even though it's already past 2 am. The movie was really good that's why I didn't fall asleep while watching the movie.

This Time

We watched this movie in celebration of Mother's day. The movie was good. The soundtrack gave me LSS. hehe.

Windstruck - Korean Movie

Plot:
The film stars Jun Ji-hyun as Officer Yeo Kyung-jin, an ambitious young female police officer serving on the Seoul police department. One day while chasing a purse snatcher, she accidentally captures Go Myung-woo (played by Jang Hyuk), a physics teacher at an all-girls school, who was actually trying to catch the thief. Later, Myung-woo discovers the stolen purse, but just as he picks it up, Kyung-jin spots him and tries to arrest him again. Kyung-jin is then given the job of escorting Myung-woo through a dangerous district, only to be distracted when she tries to break up a meeting between Russian Mafia and Korean gangsters. With Myung-woo handcuffed to her, Kyung-jin almost single-handedly brings down the two rival gangs (although she is helped when she accidentally causes the groups to start shooting at each other).
The first half of the film, told from Myung-woo's point of view, details the couple's growing attraction and love for each other, which climaxes with a trip to the countryside where Myung-woo tells Kyung-jin that if he were ever to die, he wanted to come back to earth as the wind. Soon after, he is almost killed in a freak automobile accident, but Kyung-jin saves his life.
The film takes a turn into the fantasy genre in its second half after Myung-woo is accidentally shot and killed by another officer (although the situation is such that Kyung-jin thinks that it was her shot that killed him) as Kyung-jin chases after a criminal. Kyung-jin falls into a suicidal depression over his death and attempts to kill herself several times, almost succeeding when she throws herself off a building, only to be saved when a giant balloon floats under her. Soon after, she experiences visitations from Myung-woo, who appears as the wind, sending her messages and, at one point, he even appears in her dreams in order to give her the will to live after she is nearly shot to death by a criminal.
Ultimately the film follows a similar path set out by the American film Ghost with Myung-woo and Kyung-jin communicating and sharing one final gesture of love before he moves on to the afterlife. Myung-woo said that he will whisper, when she hears him whisper in the wind, she will meet someone with a soul like him. Myung-woo told Kyung-jin that he will always be beside her inside a book with a photo left by Myung-woo in the restaurant before he rushed to meet Kyung-jin who was chasing the insane criminal.
In the first half of the film, Myung-woo told that his only memory of high school was his high school trip. The book and the photo is found and returned to Kyung-jin in the police station. The photo showed that on Myung-woo's trip, Kyung-jin was nearby. This proved Myung-woo's "I'm always beside you" was true to Kyung-jin. Kyung-jin rushed out to locate the finder of the book, ultimately ending up in the train station, where she is saved by Cha Tae-hyun's character (credited as The Guy). Myung-woo whispered that The Guy is the one with the soul like him. Kyung-jin whispers that "he is always beside her."

Reaction:
The movie that made my eyes swollen 7 years ago, and still making my eyes swollen today. I was just a teenager when I first watched this wonderful movie. It's still vivid to my memory how much tears I'd shed by just watching the movie itself. And now, here I am again... crying.. yeah, still crying. I really hate this movie because every time I'm watching it, it makes my eyes swollen, my chest painful, and my heart hurt.

Just imagining the pain... I don't know what to do. I guess I am not really as tough as Kyung-jin, I really can't imagine such pain of losing that kind of man. *Sigh*

Perhaps, this is the  reason why I would want to be the one who'll die first.. because I don't  know what to do.. I don't know if I could ever continue living without the person I love the most. I don't want to find another. I don't want a soul like him, I want him.. only him.

Going back to the movie.. I guess I will always love this movie.. Always... Everything was just perfect, the actors and actresses who played the role, the story itself, and the filmography. Really powerful!

I always recommend this movie to my friends, and I guess I'll always will. My ultimate favorite Korean Drama Movie!

Lesson?
Um, I've just realized the pain of losing the person you really love. I did realize how weak I am, thinking that I could not handle the pain of losing somehow who's so dear to me. On the other hand, I learned that life must go on even if it is so painful to lose somehow you love, for there is a reason behind every season in our life. I know it's painful and hard, but life will not end by the end of one chapter in our life... instead, it will open a new chapter again.

200 Pounds Beauty

Last before I go to bed. I’m done watching “200 Pounds Beauty” – Korean Movie

Cute! =) The movie was about a huge lady named Hannah Kang who used to be a backup singer for a pretty singer named Ammy. Well Ammy doesn’t really know how to sing and that’s why they need Hannah. But Hannah decided to take a plastic surgery to make her beautiful. When she’s already beautiful she came back and became a singer known as Jenny; the lead singer this time. But the truth will always find its way. So during her concert she confessed to all of the people that she’s not real, that she’s just a product of a plastic surgery. That’s the fall of Jenny and the rise of Hannah herself.

It’s a very cute story, isn’t it? I would say that it’s kinda impossible for a 200 pound lady to transform into a petite one. Right? Roughly, yeah it can be. They says, “nothing is impossible” right?

Well reality hurts, that sometimes we can’t see the beauty of a person. We tend to look at them due to their outside appearance. We are usually blinded by those things, glamour and shine. Well that is our nature as a person. But still I am happy because not all of us were like that, or still there is a part of us that is not like that. We can still appreciate beauty not just in its look but what’s inside of it. There are so many things that may be deceiving but not only our eyes can see what’s real and not; I believe that it’s our heart that knows better what is real from not.

I think this will be all for tonight. It’s already three in the morning. I better go to bed. Sorry I just really enjoyed watching tonight. Back to school tomorrow. ^^ So yeah let’s call it a night. Good night.

My Little Bride

Hello again. I’d just finished watching “My Little Bride” – Korean Movie

Okay, so the movie is all about a fixed marriage between a man named Simon Park and a seventeen year old girl named Bea Su. They married each other to grant their grandfathers promise to each other that their children will get marry. But since their children were both man the promise was transferred to their grandchildren who happened to be Simon and Bea. This movie’s very good. It’s a romantic comedy that will make you laugh and fall in love at the same time. I was in a bad mood today but when I saw the movie, I forgot about my problem for a little while. ^^ Well in the end Bea realized that she really loved Simon. =)

Well that will be all. The thing that this movie made me realized; sometimes love is already their around the corner but we’re just too busy to see it. Well that’s all. Enjoy! Goodnight.

My True Friend (Thai Movie)

Done watching another Thai movie entitled “My True Friend.” I can say that I really envy the characters in the film. Honestly speaking I’ve been always wishing to have a real group of friends. I mean like more than four super close friends. I’m not saying that I don’t have real friends though. All I am saying is, I want a group and I want to be a part of a group. Though I think it will be hard to maintain a healthy relationship with them. It will be hard sometimes since you guys came from different ways. Some maybe hard headed, some may be cool or some maybe a tripper and blah blah if you know what I mean. Well, I don’t know. I am not just a group person. You know. Most of the time I want to be alone.  Well yeah, sometimes with a company of a friend. Just that.

About the movie? It’s about a group of man who are most of the time involved on a brawl. There’s this guy named Gun, who taught the rest of the guy how to value their friendship. Well for the record Gun is the only child of a rich couple. But since they are so rich they failed to give some time to their son. That is why Gun focused himself to his friends. Like any other friendship they also had their ups and downs. But they still remained together. They showed and proved that a real friendship isn’t always about having fun, it isn’t always about supporting your friend. Sometimes you have to be with them during their downtimes. You have to remind them what is right and wrong. You have to be yourself when you are with them. Then, at the latter part Gun died during one of their fights. But even though he died, all of his beliefs about friendship remained in their hearts.
It’s really a good one. It was very inspiring. So yeah. I’ll leave it all up to you the rest of the reviews and yadda when you already finish watching the movie. Happy Sunday!

-M.

Thai Movies on a Row =)

I’d just finished two movies. :)

First, “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”
Yeah, I’d watched it before and since I was bored I watched it again. The movie was really good. You know, it happened to all of us I guess. Fell in love (whether real or just a puppy love) during our high school days. Well I guess almost everyone knows about that movie. The main lesson I learned from this movie is, there is always a chance for everyone and if it will be the two of you; it will always be the two of you. Very simple yet it’s really hard. Well I guess, we don’t have to wait. It’s all about enjoying and doing the things that we must do. And one day we’ll wake up and the thing that we wanted most yesterday is already here in front of us. That’s life and we must learn how to deal with it.

Second, “Yes or No”
It’s another Thai movie. At first I didn’t like to continue watching it when I found out that it’s a sort of girl to girl love story or what we called the “lesbian”. Aha, I bet not every one of us likes to watch such movie right? I mean yeah, in this society we always tend to judge others; even we don’t say something there is still a part of us thinking and saying something at the back of our minds. Uh uh admit it. We can’t avoid that. Okay yeah, forget about the sermons. Well about the movie, it’s really good. I mean like yes! The story was so good. I think it almost even made me a tom  haha. I mean seriously, while watching this movie I appreciate them. They were also humans duh!? And there is nothing wrong when you fall in love, whether it’s a boy or girl. That’s love. I actually envy them at some point. Well enough for my yadda. It’s freakin’ five in the morning already. I have to go to sleep now because I will be having my date tomorrow. ^^ (Date with God)

Feeling much better now. ;-) Keep smiling.
